Hana POS supports various order types to streamline operations and enhance the customer experience. Each order type has its own features, processes, and special considerations.

This guide provides a detailed breakdown of each order type.


1. Pickup Orders

Definition

Orders placed in advance and collected from the store by the customer.

Process

  1. Customer places an order online, by phone, or in-store.

  2. Staff prepares the order before the scheduled pickup time.

  3. Customer arrives and presents order confirmation (if required).

  4. Staff hands over the order, and payment is confirmed (if not prepaid).

Special Considerations

  • Useful for customers who want to avoid waiting.

  • Ensure orders are ready before the scheduled pickup time.


2. Phone Orders

Definition

Orders placed over the phone and entered manually.

Process

  1. Customer calls the shop and provides order details.

  2. Staff enters the order in the Hana POS system.

  3. Payment is collected via phone or upon delivery/pickup.

Special Considerations

  • Ensure order accuracy by confirming details with the customer.

  • Provide confirmation via SMS or email.

Note: By default, the Delivery Order Type is selected when navigating to New Order > Order Entry.


3. Wire Orders (Incoming & Outgoing)

Definition

Orders transferred between florists via a wire service.

Types

  • Incoming Wire Orders: Orders received from another florist for fulfillment.

  • Outgoing Wire Orders: Orders sent to another florist for fulfillment.

Process

  1. Customer places an order at their local florist.

  2. The order is wired to another florist in the recipient's location.

  3. The receiving florist fulfills and delivers the order.

Special Considerations

  • Wire service fees may apply.

  • Coordinate with the receiving florist for delivery confirmation.


4. Online / Web Orders

Definition

Orders are placed via the florist’s eCommerce website.

Process

  1. Customer selects products online and places an order.

  2. System processes the payment and notifies the florist.

  3. Order is prepared for delivery or pickup.

Special Considerations

  • Ensure website inventory is up-to-date.

  • Provide clear delivery and pickup options.


5. Walk-In Orders

Definition

Orders placed in person at the physical store.

Process

  1. Customer visits the store and selects products.

  2. Staff processes the order in Hana POS.

  3. Payment is collected via cash, credit card, or other accepted methods.

  4. Order is fulfilled immediately or scheduled for later pickup.

Special Considerations

  • Ideal for customers who prefer browsing in-store.

  • No delivery or pickup scheduling required.
